</strong><strong>1:00pm - 4:00pm</strong></p>
<p>This workshop will focus on intermediate level belly dance technique and choreography as well as Qigong warm-ups and a meditative cool down. No prior experience with Qigong is necessary, although it will be helpful if you take the Qigong for Dancers workshop prior to this workshop to understand the basic principles and practice and how to apply it to dance. Some dance belly dance training is necessary as movement phrases and choreography taught will be more complex and at a faster pace.</p>
<p>**For all workshops, please come in comfortable clothing and in layers so that you stay warm. You may bring a hip scarf if you like - coins okay.**</p>

<p>To ward off sickness and maintain health during the spring season, work with the liver channel. Here is a simple self qi massage you can do anytime of the year:</p>
<ol>
<li>Take three deep breaths into the belly to center yourself</li>
<li>Place the right hand on top of the liver under the right rib</li>
<li>Massage clockwise 12 times and then reverse</li>
<li>While circulating the hand sense the qi moving in the liver and visualize white light penetrating the organ from your hand</li>
<li>Release your hand and take three deep belly breaths to end</li>
<li>Repeat up to three times daily</li>
